Stefanos Tsitsipas recently took fans down memory lane with an epic throwback photo from the 2018 ATP Next Gen Finals. The image, shared by the Greek star, featured Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur.
The ATP Next Gen Finals is an exhibition tournament showcasing the top eight singles players on the ATP Tour who are aged 20 or younger. Previously, the eligibility rule was set for players under the age of 21.
On Wednesday, Stefanos Tsitsipas shared a photo of himself alongside Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur from the players' dinner at the 2018 ATP Next Gen Finals in Milan, Italy.
In the picture, Tiafoe, who held the selfie camera, was dressed in a golden and black suit. Fritz donned a Dolce & Gabbana San Michele Crown King Velvet Sweater Hoodie, complete with a crown. De Minaur sported a red Dolce & Gabbana sweater paired with matching tracksuit pants, while Tsitsipas stood out in a golden suit paired with a stylish hat.

The ATP Next Gen Finals were held for the second time in 2018. It featured Stefanos Tsitsipas and Frances Tiafoe, both 20 years old, Alex de Minaur, 19, and Taylor Fritz.
Tsitsipas who clinched the trophy defeated Jaume Munar, Frances Tiafoe, and Hubert Hurkacz in the group stage. In the semifinals, he faced Andrey Rublev and needed five sets to beat the Russian. Tsitsipas then outclassed Alex de Minaur 2–4, 4–1, 4–3(7–3), 4–3(7–3) in the final.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Taylor Fritz have so far faced each other five times on the ATP Tour, with Tsitsipas leading their head-to-head 3–2. Their first encounter was at the 2019 Laver Cup, where the Greek emerged victorious. Tsitsipas went on to win their next two matches. Fritz secured his first win over Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Monte Carlo Masters, and again during their most recent meeting at the fourth round of the Australian Open.
Against Frances Tiafoe, Stefanos Tsitsipas holds a tied head-to-head record of 3–3 so far. They first met at the 2018 ATP Next Gen Finals, where Tsitsipas won. Tiafoe avenged the loss in the first round of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships.
Their third meeting came in the second round of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with Tsitsipas winning. Tiafoe then won their next two encounters, at the Vienna Open and the Laver Cup. Tsitsipas leveled their rivalry with a victory in the third round of the 2024 Indian Wells Masters.
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alex de Minaur have faced off 12 times on the ATP Tour so far, with the Aussie winning just one of those encounters. Tsitsipas won the first ten matchups between the two, before de Minaur ended his winning streak at the 2024 Mexican Open quarterfinal.
