Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi's daughter, Jaz Agassi, recently reminisced about her mother's visit to the Kapstadt Townships in South Africa for her children's foundation, Children For Tomorrow.
Graf established Children for Tomorrow (CFT) as a non-profit foundation to provide aid to children who have been traumatized by war, persecution, and other crises. Through CFT, Graf has been able to make a lasting, positive impact on the lives of countless children in need, transforming their lives for the better.
Since 1998, Steffi Graf has established refugee clinics in multiple countries, including Germany, Eritrea, and Uganda. These clinics are staffed by psychologists, social workers, doctors and art therapists who use a combination of verbal and non-verbal therapies to treat over 1,200 children annually.
The former World No.1 has accumulated a team of doctors and therapists to provide these children with specialized, tailored psychotherapeutic treatments to help them cope with their trauma. The treatment is designed to be unique and effective, allowing the children to heal and move forward with their lives.
Graf's daughter, Jaz Agassi, recently took to Instagram to repost a photo of her mother from her visit to Kapstadt Townships in South Africa for her foundation.
Steffi Graf is the only player in tennis history to win the Golden Slam
Steffi Graf is widely regarded as one of the greatest tennis players of all time. She won an impressive 22 Grand Slam titles in her 16-year professional career - second only to Serena Williams (23) in the Open Era, and third only to Margaret Court (24) overall.
Graf's accomplishments and records are numerous, but one of her most impressive feats is her Golden Slam - a feat that has yet to be matched by any player, male or female. This remarkable achievement has cemented the German's legacy for eternity.
The Golden Slam is an extraordinary feat, achieved when a player wins all four Grand Slam titles - the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open - in addition to the Olympic gold medal in the same year. Given the four-year cycle of the Olympics, it is an incredibly difficult accomplishment to pull off.
Yet, in 1988, Graf made it look effortless. She achieved the Golden Slam at the tender age of 19, setting a record that may never be repeated.
