"Such a beautiful family" - Emma Navarro, Coco Gauff, Tracy Austin & tennis world congratulate Alison Riske-Amritraj on birth of first child

Coco Gauff, Emma Navarro, Tracy Austin, and others from the tennis fraternity came together to congratulate Alison Riske-Amritraj as she recently became a mother for the first time. She welcomed her first child, a daughter on July 5, 2024, with her husband Stephen Amritraj.

Riske-Amritraj took to Instagram to share the happy news of the arrival of daughter Calen. Coco Guaff, who just lost in the fourth-round match at Wimbledon, was one of the first to congratulate and wrote:

"Aww congratulations."

Emma Navarro, who reached the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam for the first time in her career at Wimbledon 2024, also reacted to the news.

"yay congrats," Navarro wrote.

Asia Muhammad also relayed her best wishes to the happy couple and the newborn.

"Congrats friends!!! Welcome Calen!! You have really cool parents," Muhammad wrote.

Four-time Grand Slam champion in mixed doubles, Desirae Krawczyk, wrote:

"Aww congrats you two."

Shelby Rogers called the newborn a Wimbledon baby as she was born while the tournament was in progress.

"Wimby baby!!! Those little toes!!! Couldn’t be more excited! Congratulations! Calen you are a lucky little girl," Rogers wrote.

Former player Tracy Austin also congratulated the couple on the newest addition to their family.

"So excited for you both congrats on such a beautiful family," Austin wrote.

Monica Puig also gave her best wishes to the newborn.

"Congrats you guys," Puig commented.

Alison Riske-Amritraj reveals unique meaning of newborn daughter's name

Alison Riske-Amritraj and her husband Stephen Armitraj welcomed their first child, Calen Ann Amritraj, and named her after their mothers- Carol and Helen. Coincidently, both of their mothers share the same middle name, Ann.

"Calen Ann Amritraj has entered the chat. We hope our little girl will possess the same qualities of the most important ladies in our own life- our mothers, Carol and Helen. We combined the two names and came up with Calen. Our mothers also ironically share the same middle name, Ann, so it made that one easy!" Riske-Amritraj wrote.

The couple was delighted by the arrival of their daughter and wrote that they were very excited with the newest addition.

"May she be full of the same grace, love, grit, and strength, (amongst many other wonderful things), as her namesakes. Cheers to our 5th of July firecracker- may this life be everything you ever dream of. Dad & mom couldn’t be more excited and in love!!!!" she added.

Riske-Amritraj was last seen competing at Wimbledon 2023, where she lost to Paula Badosa in the first round.
