Taking inspiration from Elena Rybakina & coach Vukov, Aryna Sabalenka wants her team to get matching tiger tattoos if she wins Australian Open

Aryna Sabalenka recently urged his team members to take inspiration from Elena Rybakina's coach Stefano Vukov and get a matching tiger tattoo. She recently qualified for the semifinal round of the tournament.

Sabalenka recently squared off against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the quarterfinal round and qualified for the semis by winning the match, 6-2, 2-6, 6-3. In the post-match interview, she spoke about Elena Rybakina's coach getting a tattoo after her win at Wimbledon. She expressed her wish for her team to get the same tiger tattoo as her if she goes on to win the Australian Open.

"You know what? After Elena Rybakina's coach did a tattoo after her winning Wimbledon, you know what I told my team? I'm like, You guys, see, this is the true love, you know, I mean, and now they just run away; you can't see them. So, yeah, we're gonna talk about that. If I win it, I mean, you never know, fingers crossed, and we're going to celebrate, I'm going to put something in their drinks, so I'll put them in sleep and I'm going to call a tattoo specialist, so they're going to wake up with a tiger tattoo. I'm kidding, just kidding," said Aryna Sabalenka. (3:00 onwards)

The 26-year-old started her 2025 season by competing at the Brisbane International. She won the tournament's title after defeating Polina Kudermetova in the finals, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. She will next be seen competing in the semifinals of the Australian Open against Paula Badosa on January 23.

In the press conference ahead of the Brisbane International, Aryna Sabalenka spoke about her mindset for the Australian Open. She talked about having confidence in dominating Grand Slams and her focus on the tournament. ( as quoted by Punto de Break)

"I definitely have confidence in Grand Slams. I know I am capable of many things, that I am capable of holding that beautiful trophy. It's good to know, but there is still a long way to go. Many things need to be done. I prefer to focus step by step. It's good to know that you have the ability to win the Australian Open, but it's better to focus on yourself, on improving each day, on doing your best and expecting the best. That is my mindset for the Australian Open," Aryna Sabalenka said.

The Belarusian player also won the 2023 and 2024 iterations of the tournament. She won the previous edition after defeating Qinwen Zheng in the finals, 6-3, 6-2.
