The Australian summer has come as a boon for Taylor Fritz's influencer girlfriend Morgan Riddle. The 27-year-old has been posting pictures from the breathtaking locales in Sydney, where her boyfriend competing in the "United Cup" mixed team event alongside fellow American hope Coco Gauff.
On Sunday, Riddle along with her friends went for a boat ride in the Sydney Harbour area. She shared several pictures from the mini voyage.
One of the shots, taken from the boat out adrift at sea, showed the famous Sydney Opera House. Riddle captioned the post "P Sherman 42 Wallaby Way," after an iconic fictional address featured in Pixar's classic children's film "Finding Nemo."
In the following post, Riddle could be seen sitting on the boat in the middle of the ocean, with land visible in the distance. "Happiest here," she captioned the portrait.
Another post followed, this time a video, in which Riddle and her friends could be seen enjoying a fast boat ride.
"Let's go for a relaxing boat ride," she captioned the post.
The influencer has been lapping up the sights and sounds of the land Down Under, sharing many of her experiences on her social media. Taylor Fritz has said that his girlfriend, despite not being associated with tennis, has been a great support for him at tournaments.
"I think it’s great to just kind of have someone who is with you, supporting you, helping keep you focused," he told CNN Sport. "As someone who had nothing to do with tennis before, in Morgan’s case, she’s done an amazing job over the years just kind of understanding."
Team USA opened its United Cup campaign against Canada on Sunday. While Coco Gauff was able to get the better of Leylah Fernandez, Taylor Fritz lost his rubber against Felix Auger-Aliasimme in a tight three-setter (4-6, 7-5, 6-3). The US team came back in the decisive mixed doubles, winning it 7-6 (7-2), 7-5.
Fritz is looking to carry on his momentum from a career-best season in 2024.
Taylor Fritz says he will focus on making deep runs in Grand Slams
Taylor Fritz has revealed that he will be focussing on making it deep into the draws of Grand Slams in 2025.
"Obviously, the main focus is going to be the Australian Open," he said. "Hopefully a deep run at the Slams (this year)." [via France 24]
In 2024, he made the final of the US Open as well as the ATP World Tour Finals, losing to World No. 1 Jannik Sinner on both occasions. Notably, he became the first American male to reach the final of the US Open since 2003, when Andy Roddick outlasted Juan Carlos Ferrero in Flushing Meadows to win the championship.
