#1 Daniil Medvedev unhappy with his ‘villain’ image and Alexander Zverev’s favorable depiction in Netflix’s Break Point
Daniil Medvedev has shrugged off his portrayal in Netflix's 'Break Point,' calling it exaggerated.
The latest season focused on events from 2023, with Medvedev featured prominently in the fourth episode, 'Unfinished Business.' The episode showcased on-court outbursts, aggressive play, disputes with officials, and a strained relationship with fans.
Alexander Zverev, in the same episode, discussed his rivalry with Medvedev, suggesting the World No. 3 uses "unfair tactics." Medvedev, at a press conference ahead of the 2024 Australian Open, said that he had only seen fragments of the series through social media.
"I didn't watch the episode. I saw a little bit here and there. I'm still on social media. I didn't watch it and probably will not because I'll get frustrated probably," he said with a laugh.
The 27-year-old said that Netflix tends to exaggerate events for dramatic effect. He affirmed his good relationships with most ATP tour players, dismissing the need to address questions about his personality.
"I heard a little bit. I don't have much to say. That's how Netflix is, and that's why we see it, because it exaggerates things, it's usually hot and cold, there is no neutral. People around me, people in the locker room, they know how I am, how I am on court, which can be tricky, how I am off court. I feel like I have a good relationship with mostly all of the tour," Medvedev stated.
"I don't have much to add because, yeah, series is not real life," he added.

#3 Nick Kyrgios jokingly advises players to book their flights home ahead of their match against Novak Djokovic at 2024 Australian Open
Nick Kyrgios has playfully advised players facing Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open 2024 to pre-book return tickets.
Djokovic kicks off his quest for an 11th Norman Brooks Challenge Cup trophy against qualifier Dino Prizmic.
In a lighthearted video shared on the Australian Open's X page, Kyrgios shared an amusing advice for opponents set to encounter Djokovic in Melbourne.
"You just book your flight home on the best price," he said, suggesting no one has a real chance against the 24-time Grand Slam champion (at 1:43).
#4 Andy Murray says he and the Big 3 don’t giggle on the court to cope with frustration
Andy Murray recently shared his strategy for dealing with frustration on the court when he's not playing his best. I
n a press conference, Murray denied using laughter or "giggling" as a way to boost his performance. He stated that top players like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer don't rely on such tactics either.
Instead, Murray revealed that when he feels off his game, he prefers to keep his emotions in check. The Brit focuses on what he can control, like his technique and game plan, rather than dwelling on his mistakes or getting visibly upset.
"No, I won't be out there giggling on the court. That won't be happening (smiling). Yeah, it's more about how you're dealing with frustration and disappointment and everything when you're playing. I don't see Novak out there when he's playing his matches laughing and joking around. I never saw that with Roger and Rafa. It's not about that," Andy Muray said.
"It's probably how you're treating yourself in those moments and being a bit kinder to yourself, the people around you, lowering some of your own expectations, controlling what you can control," he added.
