"The best" - Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian enjoys quality time with daughter Olympia as they explore one of his 'favorite places'

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian and older daughter Olympia recently explored one of the entrepreneur’s favorite destinations. The tennis icon, Williams and Ohanian welcomed Olympia into the world on September 1, 2017.

Serena Williams was eight weeks pregnant with Olympia when she clinched her 23rd Grand Slam title by defeating her sister Venus Williams 6-4, 6-4, in the women's singles finals at the 2017 Australian Open. During the birth of Olympia, Serena experienced a drop in her heart rate during labor, necessitating an emergency cesarean section. Serena and Ohanion later bestowed the name Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. upon their newborn daughter.

Recently, the father-daughter duo went to one of Ohanion’s favorite destinations. The co-founder of the social media site, Reddit, shared photos of the tirip on his Instagram account. The 41-year-old expressed his joy at seeing Olympia grow and appreciate these special moments, captioning his post,

"🥹🗽 with Jr is the best. She's old enough that I can start taking her to all my favorite places"

In one of the images, Olympia, who will soon turn 7, was captured using a green crayon to write her name and 'Papa' in cursive on a wall.

Notably, Olympia's name has a special meaning, derived from a Greek word, which translates to "from the home of the gods.". She shares the same initials, AO, as the Australian Open because Williams was pregnant with her while competing in the tournament.

Olympia also enjoys playing golf. In 2020, she became the youngest co-owner in professional sports when her parents Williams and Ohanian bought her a share in the Los Angeles-based women's soccer team, Angel City Football Club.

Retired American tennis star Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian took a trip to Paris along with their children, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. and Adira River Ohanian, for the recently concluded Summer Olympics 2024. A year ago, Williams gave birth to her younger daughter Adira on August 15, 2023.

During the women's gymnastics all-around team final at the Paris Olympics, Serena Williams and Olympia were present at the Accor Arena. There, they witnessed the USA team, consisting of renowned gymnasts like Simone Biles, Suni Lee, and Jordan Chiles, clinch the gold medal with a total score of 171.296 points.
