"The face of a traitor" - Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle playfully calls him out over TV exclusion

Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle recently called him a "traitor" for watching episodes of the beloved American TV series 'Prison Break' without her. The playful banter comes amid Fritz's impressive performance at the 2025 United Cup in Sydney, where he has been leading Team U.S. to success.

Currently competing at the 2025 United Cup, Fritz has helped the U.S. team advance to the semifinals after wins over Canada, Croatia, and China. The American tennis star and his team is now preparing to take on the Czech Republic on January 4, 2025.

Riddle, who has been traveling with Fritz and supporting him throughout the tournament, revealed a minor, yet amusing, act of "betrayal" by her boyfriend. On her Instagram stories, she posted a picture of Fritz smiling while enjoying a meal at a restaurant, accompanied with the caption:

"The face of a TRAITOR who watched 2 episodes of Prison Break without me."

Taylor Fritz acknowledged that his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, has a more hectic schedule than he did, stating that he sometimes lacks the energy for social activities unlike her

During a post-match press conference at the Shanghai Masters, Fritz was asked whose schedule was more packed during tournaments—his or Riddle’s, given her popularity as a social media influencer.

In response, Fritz revealed that Riddle led the busier life, noting that he isn't fond of going out frequently, unlike her.

"Oh, I would say Morgan's busier. She goes out and does more stuff. I don't have much of a battery for, like, going out and being in public, doing social things, so she packs on some pretty busy days," Fritz said.

The World No. 4 further stated that he often likes to be "lazy" during tournaments, preferring to stick to his routine and focus on his tasks.

"At tournaments, I like to be very lazy. I like to just, you know, take care of my business at the courts, practice, do the physio work, take care of my body, and then just relax. I think she's probably more, I mean, I may be a little more doing more physical stuff, but I think she's being really busy," he added.

In the 2025 United Cup semifinals, Taylor Fritz is set to face Tomas Machac in singles, while Coco Gauff will compete against Karolina Muchova. Fritz and Gauff will also team up in doubles to challenge Muchova and Machac. The winner of the tie will advance to the final to face either Kazakhstan or Poland on January 5.
