Renowned tequila brand Maestro Dobel, in partnership with Aryna Sabalenka, announced that from Monday, September 9, to Sunday, September 15, New Yorkers can enjoy cocktails or neat serves with a $10 discount on each. The news later left a majority of fans enthralled online.

After winning the US Open quarterfinal against Zheng Qinwen, Sabalenka was asked by on-court interviewer Pam Shriver how she might get a few more people on her side. The Belarusian humorously promised to cover the drinks for the Arthur Ashe crowd that night, requesting their support in the semifinal clash.

Sabalenka, who later won her third Major title after defeating Jessica Pegula in the final, fulfilled the promise in partnership with Maestro Dobel Tequila. A fan later shared this update on X.

"This is pretty cool. After Aryna Sabalenka promised drinks on her if the US Open fans cheered for her against Americans, her brand partner Dobel Tequila is actually giving New Yorkers $10 off a drink. Fair play," the fan wrote.

The news later garnered numerous reactions from fans, with some noting how such promotions can enhance the sport's popularity, while others called it a great marketing strategy.

"her team is amazing like lowkey this is the sh*t that makes tennis more popular," they wrote.
"The Queen doing Queen things. Cheers!" Another chimed in.
"this is some genius marketing actually," a user said.

Here are a few more fan reactions:

"This is actually clever. Aryna jokingly said drinks would be on her if they showed her some love when she played New Yorker, Jessica Pegula, in the finals at the US Open. This promo is good for a week," a fan commented.
"drinksonme as the promo code," a fan said.
"great marketing," another wrote.

Sabalenka's partnership with Maestro Dobel Tequila began last year in Cincinnati. Recently, they introduced a signature cocktail, the "Marg-Aryna," a tropical soda-infused margarita inspired by Sabalenka’s love for Olipop.

Aryna Sabalenka added several achievements to her name after winning the 2024 US Open title. The Belarusian became the first woman since Angelique Kerber in 2016, and the fifth overall, to win both hard court Majors (the Australian Open and the US Open) in a single season.

Sabalenka also became the sixth woman to win the US Open title after being the runner-up in the previous edition. She fell to home favorite Coco Gauff in the final last year.

The 26-year-old also became the first woman since Serena Williams to finish consecutive seasons with the most Grand Slam wins - 23 last year and 18 in 2024.
