Tommy Paul jokingly wondered what was "prettier" between Jack Draper and his shining 2024 Vienna Open gold trophy. The Brit defeated Russia's Karen Khachanov in the ATP 500 final to win the biggest title of his career so far.
Soon after his triumph, Draper took to Instagram to share an image of him holding the trophy high.
The golden trophy shone brightly in the image, and American tennis star Paul later hilariously commented:
"Sheesh idk what’s prettier."
The 22-year-old Brit is enjoying a breakthrough season and won his first title earlier this year, an ATP 250 event in Stuttgart. He also made his first Grand Slam semifinals in September at the US Open.
Draper said after his ATP 500 win on Sunday,
"I'm really happy with the way I've progressed this year. I'll focus on next week [Paris Masters] and then I'm going to look forward to having a bit of time off and probably not thinking about tennis. It has been a long year and it has taken a lot out of me."
Jack Draper enjoyed the biggest win of his career at the Vienna Open, defeating Khachanov 6-4, 7-5 in the final. In the second set, the Brit lost a 4-0 advantage as the Russian rallied to take a 5-4 lead. However, the 22-year-old kept his composure to break again and win the set.
