Andre Agassi's former coach Brad Gilbert and Sebastian Korda recently reacted to Rafael Nadal bringing out his iconic “lawn mower” celebration during his second-round match at the 2024 Madrid Open.

Nadal avenged his loss to Alex de Minaur, which he suffered at the recently concluded Barcelona Open, by defeating the Aussie 7-6(6), 6-3 at the ATP Masters 1000 Madrid tournament to secure his place in the third round. This win marked the Spaniard's first top-20 victory since November 2022.

By securing back-to-back ATP Masters 1000 wins for the first time since the 2022 Madrid Open, the former World No.1 prevented De Minaur from becoming the second player to defeat him in consecutive weeks, a feat only achieved by Novak Djokovic when he had defeated the Spaniard in the finals of the 2011 Madrid Open and the 2011 Italian Open.

During his match against Alex de Minaur, the former World No.1 had broken into his signature fist pump celebration, known as the "lawn mower," multiple times. A video capturing his iconic celebration was shared by Tennis TV on various social media platforms.

Sebastian Korda expressed his joy at witnessing the 22-time Grand Slam champion's victory over De Minaur by sharing the video of the 37-year-old's fist-pumping celebration, accompanied by five fire emojis, on his social media.

"Triple lawnmower comes out for Vamos-Rafa," Gilbert posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Rafael Nadal will go up against Argentine Pedro Cachin in the third round of the 2024 Madrid Open.

Nadal used his protected ranking to secure a spot in this year's ATP Masters 1000 Madrid tournament. A five-time champion of the event, the Spaniard last claimed the title in 2017 by defeating Dominic Thiem in the championship match.

This year, the former World No.1 began his campaign in Madrid by defeating 16-year-old American Darwin Blanch 6-1, 6-0 in the first round. He then went on to defeat Alex de Minaur in the following round to secure his place in the third round.

Meanwhile, Pedro Cachin kicked off his Madrid Open campaign by defeating Sebastian Ofner 6-3, 6-3 in the first round. He then caused an upset when he defeated Frances Tiafoe 7-6(1), 3-6, 6-4 in the second round to set up his match against the Spaniard.

Rafael Nadal and Sebastian Ofner have not faced each other on the ATP Tour, leaving their head-to-head record at 0-0.
