Venus Williams and her "bomb" sister, Isha Price, recently jetted off for a stunning vacation. Currently taking a break from tennis, Venus last competed at the 2024 Miami Open presented by Itau, where she faced Diana Shnaider and suffered a loss in the opening round.
Isha Price, born on February 18, 1975, is the older half-sister of Venus and Serena Williams. She is the daughter of Oracene Price, the Williams sisters' mother, and her late husband, Yusef Rasheed.
Isha Price primarily works in law, but she has also made her mark as a producer. She has contributed to documentaries and other projects that shed light on her family's journey and accomplishments.
On Thursday, January 9, Williams shared updates from her latest vacation with Isha Price on Instagram. In the first story, she posted a photo of herself with Price, captioning it,
“My sister is the bomb”
In the next story, they had just landed on the sea surface by a seaplane, and although she didn’t reveal the location, she referred to it as "paradise." The caption reads:
“Perfect landing In paradise”
No retirement plans for Venus Williams just yet
Venus Williams isn't intending to retire from tennis anytime soon. However, she only participated in two tournaments during the 2024 season—the Indian Wells and Miami Open—where she was eliminated in the first round of both.
After battling injuries and the challenges of aging, Williams claimed her last Grand Slam title at the 2008 Wimbledon Championships. It had been three years since she had made it past the first round of a Grand Slam event.
In an interview with The Irish News, the 44-year-old Venus Williams shared that she hadn't planned on stepping away from the court and was instead focusing on choosing the right places to play.
"I’m not done with the racket yet... At this point, it’s about picking and choosing places I want to be. Last year I really wanted to play in Miami – home – because I hadn’t played there in like five years," Venus Williams said.
She added:
"It’s nice to be in a place where I can pick and choose, but my game is always at a high level. Even if I’m not on tour, I always keep my game quite high," she added.
