“Very rich wimps & cowards” - Martina Navratilova lashes out at USA Today for abstaining from endorsing Kamala Harris or Donald Trump in US elections

Martina Navratilova lashed out at popular American news outlet USA Today amid their decision to not endorse either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump ahead of the upcoming Presidential Election. The USA Today joined its contemporaries the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times by doing so.

Navratilova, who is one of the most decorated tennis players of all time, is also well-known for voicing her strong opinions without any hesitation. The American never shies away from standing up for what she believes in.

Recently, the Daily Beast, a news outlet, took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that USA Today, the fourth largest newspaper in the USA, has decided to abstain from endorsing either Harris or Trump during the upcoming elections.

In light of that, Martina Navratilova, who has been severely critical of Trump and has often been vocal in her distaste towards him, called USA Today a bunch of 'rich wimps' and 'cowards'. She also thought the news outlet was trying to play it safe by not endorsing either candidate.

"Bunch of very rich wimps and cowards, hedging their bets while pretending to be neutral or slightly for Harris," Navratilova tweeted.

It is also interesting to note that USA Today had endorsed Joe Biden during the previous elections and had also expressed how they felt Donald Trump was an incapable leader.

An old clip of Donald Trump and ex-wife Marla Maples from their appearance in an episode of Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous in 1994, where he was asked by the interviewer what characteristic features their little daughter Tiffany shared with her parents.

Trump said how her daughter had taken a lot of features of Marla in that her body was 'beautiful'. He then tried to joke about how it was yet to be seen if Tiffany would be inheriting her mother's breasts. Though the ex-president didn't explicitly state the words 'breast', he pointed his hands at his chest to suggest the same.

"I think that she's got a lot of Marla, she's really a beautiful baby. She's got Marla's legs. We don't know whether or not she's got this part yet but time will tell."

Martina Navratilova was disgusted by Donald Trump's actions and wrote:

"What a sick man.. he has been damaged for a long time now..."
