It is no secret that Victoria Azarenka, a two-time Grand Slam winner and former World No. 1, has fully embraced her role as a mother since the birth of her son Leo on December 19, 2016, alongside former partner Billy McKeague.
As Leo nears the age when children tend to start their forays into sports, Azarenka revealed that she has been using Google's search tab to try and find a must-have item for any soccer mom: a comfortable chair to sit on and watch her child as they take on the rigors of sport.
Azarenka on Wednesday (December 4) took to X (formerly Twitter), seeking suggestions from her 1.3 million followers about which kind of chair would best suit a 'soccer mom'.
"My most recent Google search," she wrote on X.
She revealed that her Google search history included phrases such as 'best portable chairs for sporting events', 'soccer chairs for parents', 'most comfortable camping chair', and similar queries.
The reactions to Victoria Azarenka's post were downright hilarious, with commenters suggesting all kinds of bizarre chairs. One commenter suggested getting a chair with beer can holders, while another suggested one made entirely of tennis rackets.
How Victoria Azarenka balances tennis with her motherhood role
Victoria Azarenka, ranked No. 20 on the WTA Tour with a 30-15 record in 2024, has proudly embraced the role of a mother after Leo's birth. While her bio on X says "Mom to my beautiful son Leo", she proudly professes her love for the 7-year-old on her Instagram bio.
She often shares experiences and challenges from her role as a mother on social media. Recently, Victoria Azarenka complained that her son was reluctant to hug her in front of his teammates at an ice hockey game.
"My son Leo doesn’t want to give me hugs in front of his teammates," she wrote on X, before asking her followers whether they could relate to the awkward situation.
Notably, Azarenka gained custody of Leo after a custody battle with his father, Billy McKeague, that caused her to miss several tournaments in 2017, including the US Open where she was a former finalist. The WTA star finally gained custody of her son in January 2018, after a lengthy legal battle.
Azarenka, at the 2024 Brisbane Open, remarked that her experiences with Leo have made her have a "mom brain", noting that she hardly remembers her life before she became a mother.
