Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf shared a kiss during their exhibition match against Simona Halep and Andrei Pavel. The match took place on Saturday, June 15, and was a part of the Sports Festival in Cluj-Napoca.

While the exhibition was aimed at celebrating Halep's on-court appearance in front of her home crowd, it was Agassi and Graf who stole the show. The couple, who tied the knot in October 2001, brought a romantic touch to proceedings as they shared a warm kiss in front of the cheering 9000-strong crowd.

However, when it came to the tennis, it was Halep and Pavel that came out on top. The former World No. 1, who was making her first on-court appearance in her native country since the overturning of her doping ban, combined well with her former coach to register an 8-4 win over legends Agassi and Graf.

Throughout the match, Steffi Graf looked right at home with her signature forehand, even though it has been around 25 years since she called time on her illustrious tennis career.

In 2014, Andre Agassi sat down for an interview with The Cut and was asked how he came to know that Steffi Graf was the one for him. The eight-time Grand Slam winner responded by saying that it was the "universe" that sent him the message. He also revealed that he had huge respect for her.

"Well, I figured there was a fifty-fifty shot. I already made one bad call; I thought maybe my chances could go up to 75. But sometimes the universe whispers, sometimes it screams. I respected her from a distance and marveled at her," Agassi said.

Agassi proceeded to lay bare the differences in his and Graf's respective personalities and how grateful he was for that.

"We all search to connect with people in life who have what we don’t and who are what we aren’t. I tried to learn from it. From a distance, she seemed like the complete opposite of me and I thank God she is because I get to learn from her every day. It was apparent from early on that she only grows in her convictions and the way she chooses to live," Agassi added.

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have both enjoyed impressive tennis careers, during which, they won a combined 30 Grand Slam singles titles. Both players were World No. 1's, with Agassi holding the position for 101 weeks while Graf being at the top for 377 weeks, which remains a WTA record.
