Aryna Sabalenka recreated her dance to the tunes of Pitbull's Fireball from the 2024 Australian Open at this year's French Open with the ball kids. The Belarusian originally did the dance with her team.
Though Sabalenka may be one of the most ferocious players on the court, her bubbly and cheerful nature off the court is no secret to tennis fans. She is always seen doing fun activities with her team which consists of Anton Dubrov, Jason Stacy, Andrei Vasilevsky and others.
The Belarusian also participates in different activities on tour like challenge videos, quizzes, interactions with social media pages, and the media. During the Australian Open this year, Sabalenka alongside her team busted out a dance routine to the tunes of Pitbull's 2014 hit song 'Fireball'.
An energetic World No.2 recreated the same routine with the ball kids at the French Open recently and gave all of them high fives at the end of the video.
Aryna Sabalenka has been in scintillating form throughout during this year's European clay court swing. Though she had a poor start having an early at the Stuttgart Open. She more than made up for it by reaching the finals of the WTA 1000 in Madrid and Rome. She lost to Iga Swiatek on both occasions.
The Belarusian is up and running at the French Open with a comfortable win over Erika Andreeva 6-1, 6-2 in just an hour and eight minutes. She will play Moyuka Uchijima of Japan in the next round.
Aryna Sabalenka continued the tradition of dancing with her team at Grand Slams before the French Open's start
Aryna Sabalenka kept up the tradition as she shared a video of herself dancing with her team - coach Anton Dubrov, fitness trainer Jason Stacy, and hitting partner Andrei Vasilevsky on Court Philippe-Chatrier. She played the audio Strawberries and Creem in the background of the video.
"Warming up for @rolandgarros like…" Sabalenka captioned her Instagram post.
Sabalenka had a disappointing finish at the French Open last year. Though she cruised past through the opening five rounds without dropping a set and taking out the likes of Marta Kostyuk, Sloane Stephens, Elina Svitolina, and others in the process, the Belarusian lost to Karolina Muchova in the semifinals.
Muchova barely managed to clinch the opening set in the tiebreaker and Sabalenka leveled the score in similar fashion. However, it was the Czech who came through after another hard-fought set 7-6(5), (5)6-7, 7-6 to reach the summit clash.
