Aryna Sabalenka has begun preparations for the 2025 season, sharing a vlog that showcases a day in her life, including practice sessions on the courts in Dubai. The Belarusian tennis star will start the new year as World No. 1 for the first time in her career.
Sabalenka has been sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses of her preseason training in Dubai through her latest vlog. The Belarusian tennis star began her day with a healthy breakfast and juice, followed by a practice session in her "tiger kicks."
After her warm-up, Sabalenka trained and then took a break to relax in her room, getting comfy for the next session. She later returned in the evening for more training. The day ended with a dinner outing with her team.
The 2024 season was a rollercoaster for Sabalenka. She began the year in spectacular fashion, successfully defending her Australian Open title to win her second Grand Slam.
However, tragedy struck in March when her ex-boyfriend Konstantin Kolstov passed away, leading her to take some time off from tennis. Following this difficult period, she struggled with injuries that kept her out of Wimbledon and the Paris Olympics.
Despite these setbacks, Sabalenka made a strong comeback, winning two WTA 1000 titles—the Cincinnati Open and the Wuhan Open. She also won her third Grand Slam title at the US Open, which was pivotal in her rise to the World No. 1 ranking by the end of the year.
Her remarkable resilience, combined with former World No. 1 Iga Swiatek's absence from the tour in the latter half of the year, secured her place at the top of the WTA rankings, making 2024 a season to remember.
Aryna Sabalenka enjoyed her offseason traveling and meeting friends and family with boyfriend Georgios Frangulis
Soon after Aryna Sabalenka wrapped up her 2024 season at the WTA Finals with a semifinal loss to Coco Gauff, the Belarusian embarked on a romantic getaway with her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis to Paris. The couple then also met Frangulis' brother Pedro for lunch in Miami.
Frangulis posted a carousel of images on Instagram highlighting what Aryna Sabalenka called the "best offseason" of her life. The couple spent quality time meeting with family, friends and notable figures, including former Ferrari F1 driver Felipe Massa, who famously raced alongside Michael Schumacher.
The 2025 season is less than a month away. Sabalenka is expected to begin her season at the Brisbane International. She finished runner-up to Elena Rybakina at the event last year.
