Aryna Sabalenka recently got jokingly offended when Anna Kalinskaya chose Coco Gauff as her fashion inspiration in their recent interview together. Amid her Brisbane International win and preparation for the Australian Open, Sabalenka collaborated with Harper's Bazaar alongside the Russian tennis player, Kalinskaya.

They were seen doing a fun Q&A session, where they asked each other amusing questions. The first one that Sabalenka asked was about who Kalinskaya's fashion inspiration on the tennis court was.

The latter chose Coco Gauff as her answer, to which the Belarusian reacted in disbelief.

"Who is your fashion inspiration on tennis court? asked Aryna Sabalenka.

Anna replied:

"Maybe, Coco!"

Following this, Aryna shockingly replied:

"Coco!?"

The Russian then continued:

"Ofcourse, it's you (Aryna Sabalenka)," said Kalinskaya.

Here is the conversation between them:

Sabalenka began her 2025 season on a positive note as she won the very first tournament of her year, the Brisbane International. She has also admittedly brought some changes to her game this season to help tackle her opponents better.

Aryna Sabalenka opened up about the major changes she brought to her game in the 2025 season

In a press conference after the semifinals of the Brisbane International, Aryna Sabalenka opened up about adding more variety to her game. The World No. 1, who is usually recognized for her big groundstrokes, spoke about the importance of having a Plan B. She said that it will bring a lot of 'rhythm' to her game and will assist her in improving it too.

"That's 100% great to have the variety in your game," Sabalenka said. "Whenever you have to switch to Plan B, you have something to play with."

She added:

"I really believe and I really think having those tricky shots, that slice, changing the rhythm, it's going to really bring a lot of benefits to my game. Facing someone who is really aggressive, but who can have a great touch, it can be frustrating."

Speaking about improvement, she further added:

"There is always something to improve. I'm always hoping for new things. So far they're not really working really well, but I really believe they're going to work well in the future."

Aryna Sabalenka will be defending her Australian Open title this year as she won both the 2023 and 2024 tournament titles. She also ended the 2024 season with the world's No. 1 rank after her WTA Finals semifinal finish.
