Boris Becker tied the knot for a third time, with Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro, just three months ago. The private ceremony was held in the picturesque coastal town of Cervara Abbazia di San Girolamo al Mante, located in Portofino, Liguria, Italy.

The tennis icon hosted a three-day celebration, inviting only 100 of his closest friends and family, with notable guests including football legend Ruud Gullit and ATP chairman Andrea Gaudenzi.

Becker was overwhelmed with joy and shared his feelings in an exclusive interview with HELLO!

"It was authentic, it was real and it was a magical weekend I will never forget. Everybody cried, including me,” he said.

Boris Becker revealed that his deep love for his 34-year-old partner was cemented during a challenging period when he was convicted for concealing $3.14M in assets and loans during a bankruptcy case in Great Britain. He spent eight months in prison, but throughout this difficult time in 2022, Lilian stood by his side.

“As they say in wedding ceremonies, in good and in bad days, you have to find a way to stick together. We certainly had very difficult days, because my personal situation was very challenging, but that’s really when I got to know my true friends and my partner for life," he said.

Becker retired from tennis in 1999 after a stellar career. Since then, he has remained deeply involved in the sport, coaching top players such as Novak Djokovic and Holger Rune and taking on analyst roles.
