Tennis star Coco Gauff has given her fans a glimpse of what it’s like to be an Olympian in Paris. Gauff shared a video compilation, showing her initial experience of arriving and getting ready for the biggest sporting event in the world.

Gauff, ranked No. 2 in the world, has had a decent season so far, defending her title at the ASB Classic and reaching the semifinals of the Australian Open and the French Open this year. Additionally, she also reached the last four of two WTA 1000 events, the Italian Open and the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

Gauff has shown her versatility on different surfaces, especially on clay, where she won her first Grand Slam doubles title with Katerina Siniakova at Roland Garros. She has a 12-4 and 12-2 win-loss record in singles and doubles this season.

Gauff posted her video on TikTok on July 24, where she can be seen arriving at the Olympic Village, mingling with her teammates, giving a tour of the venue, showing off her USA-themed nail art with fellow American players, practicing for her first match, and showing off her official uniform during a team photoshoot.

"Come to Olympics with me," Gauff captioned the video.

Coco Gauff has been selected as the female flag bearer for Team USA, along with basketball superstar LeBron James. She is the first tennis player and the youngest athlete ever to have this honor.

"I never thought in a million years I would have the honor of carrying the American flag for Team USA in the opening ceremony," Gauff said in a statement. "I could not be more proud to lead my teammates with LeBron as we showcase our dedication and passion on the biggest stage there is."

Coco Gauff shared her thoughts on competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

During a press conference at the 2024 Italian Open, Gauff was asked about her views on the Olympics compared to the Grand Slams. The American said the Olympics hold just as much significance for her as the Grand Slams and mentioned that preparing for the event will be interesting due to the quick transition from grass to clay.

"For me, the Olympics is a top priority. I would say equal to the Grand Slams. I wouldn't put it above or below just because I've never played before. This is my first time. Obviously, I always want to do well, try to get a medal. Yeah, I mean, but the prep is going to be interesting because I've never done the grass-to-clay transition before," Coco Gauff told the press.

Gauff also noted that she plans to have fun at the Olympics and not stress herself too much.

"I'm not putting too much pressure on it because I really want to fully indulge in the experience. Hopefully I can have the experience multiple times in my lifetime. I'll treat it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience," Gauff added.

Coco Gauff, who was unable to compete in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to a positive COVID-19 test, is now part of the U.S. women's tennis team for the 2024 Paris Olympics alongside Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins, Emma Navarro, and Desirae Krawczyk. The men's team features Taylor Fritz, Chris Eubanks, Marcos Giron, Tommy Paul, Rajeev Ram, and Austin Krajicek.
