Vivek Ramaswamy hit the tennis court for an early morning match, stating that it’s even more energizing than coffee. The Republican politician, who recently played with Andre Agassi, shared his enthusiasm for the sport.
Ramaswamy took to X to upload a video of him playing tennis in Ohio. He is seen hitting some good forehands and backhands before he seemingly wins the point and celebrates with one of his teammates. He captioned the video:
"Early morning grilling at Ohio State tennis. Works better than coffee."
Ramaswamy has regularly opened up about his connection with tennis. He used to be a ball boy at the Cincinnati Open 30 years ago and now is a regular attendee at the US Open.
Ramaswamy is, however, a controversial figure because of his unorthodox stances. The founder of Roivant Sciences was a presidential candidate for the 2024 elections, but removed himself from candidacy in January.
In the past, the Harvard alum has controversially stated that the "climate change agenda is a hoax." During his candidacy, he also said that he would disband several federal agencies, such as the FBI.
Vivek Ramaswamy and Andre Agassi play tennis together in shirts featuring Agassi-inspired cartoon character
Vivek Ramaswamy took a video of him playing tennis as Andre Agassi's hitting partner to social media. He revealed his journey from being a ball boy for the eight-time Grand Slam winner to playing with him and also mentioned his "sage advice."
"I used to be a ball boy for @AndreAgassi, we were hitting partners today. His sage advice: the longest distance between two points is that between your mind & your heart. Bend the former to meet the latter," Vivek Ramaswamy wrote on X.
He also took to Instagram to post an image with Agassi where their similar shirts featuring a cartoon character inspired by Agassi are visible.
"Great to welcome a legend, champ, and one of my childhood heroes to Columbus today. Learned a lot from @agassi on court, even more off court," Ramaswamy wrote on Instagram.
Ramaswamy has been active during this North American hardcourt swing. During the Cincinnati Open, he posted an image from the Lindner Family Tennis Center with his two sons. He revealed that he was a ball boy there 30 years ago and now he was watching on with his children.
The Republican also met Ben Shelton and stated that the youngster is a future World No. 1. He even posted about watching the US Open multiple times.
