WATCH: Danielle Collins trolls booing Australian Open fans with sarcastic 'Love you' message

Danielle Collins, in signature fashion, trolled fans who heckled her during her second-round win at the 2025 Australian Open. Collins sealed her progress into the third round of the prestigious hardcourt Major after a hard-fought 7-6(4), 4-6, 6-2 victory against home hope Destanee Aiava.

Collins kickstarted her 2025 Australian Open campaign with a 7-6(4), 6-3 win over Daria Snigur. However, the World No. 11 had a much tougher time against Aiava, who was vociferously backed to beat the American by the Melbourne crowd. Ultimately though, it was Collins who prevailed. After the conclusion of her post-match, on-court interview, when the boos were still ringing out for her, the American said rather sarcastically into the microphone:

"Thank you guys. Love ya!"

Collins has garnered a reputation for being brutally honest about her feelings with both opponents and crowds. During her post-match, on-court interview, the former World No. 7 and 2022 Australian Open runner-up hilariously opened up about her mid-match thoughts about what she would do if she lost to Aiava.

CoCo Vandeweghe was present in Danielle Collins' box during her match against Destanee Aiava and the latter made a joke that involved the former top-10 player. During the aforementioned post-match press conference, Collins joked that during the match, she was thinking about potentially heading for a five-star vacation with Vandeweghe.

"I was thinking during the match. I was like, 'If I'm out of here, I might as well just take that big fat paycheck. Coco and I love, we love a good 5-star vacation. So part of that check is gonna go towards that. So thank you guys, thanks for coming out here and supporting us tonight," Collins said.

Collins' next challenge at the 2025 Australian Open would be to get past compatriot Madison Keys, a fellow Grand Slam finalist who finished as a runner-up at the 2017 US Open. The two will lock horns for the fourth time, with Keys leading their head-to-head 2-1.

The 19th seed booked her place in the third round of the Melbourne Major after edging out Elena-Gabriela Ruse 7-6(1), 2-6, 7-5. Whoever out of Keys and Collins wins, will face either sixth seed Elena Rybakina or 32nd seed Dayana Yastremska.
