Daniil Medvedev recently spent quality time with his daughter Alisa, as they enjoyed a fun day out. The father-daughter duo got into the Christmas spirit with a delightful activity in Monaco, where the World No. 5 resides with his wife Daria and their two-year-old daughter.

Medvedev last competed on tour at the 2024 ATP Finals, failing to advance past the group stage in Turin. After taking part in the Six Kings Slam exhibition event in Riyadh, the Russian took a break with his family during the off-season. He has since begun his preparations for the 2025 season, aiming to deliver a stronger campaign after going title-less this year.

Daniil Medvedev took some time to unwind amid his intense pre-season training, embracing the festive spirit with his daughter Alisa by taking a festive carousel ride in Fontvieille, Monaco. The World No. 5's wife Daria was likely behind the camera, capturing the adorable scenes between the father-daughter duo, who were both bundled up for the winter in puffer jackets.

Medvedev and his daughter have made an annual tradition of the fun activity as they embarked on a Christmas carousel ride in matching jackets last year, with his wife Daria documenting the endearing memory.

In an interview with Tennis.com earlier this year, Daniil Medvedev opened up about his aspirations for his daughter Alisa to grow up as a "happy person," disclosing that he was even reading books to ensure that he was the best father possible.

"I don’t always succeed to be the best father I want to be, but it teaches you. I am even trying to read books about it because I really want her to grow up as a happy person," Medvedev said.

During the aforementioned interview, Daniil Medvedev shed light on his daughter Alisa's temperament, disclosing that she left his wife Daria in disbelief with her tantrums if something didn't go her way. The World No. 5, who is known for fiery on-court outbursts, hilariously pondered whether her combative nature was inherited from him.

"If something doesn’t go her way, then she throws a toy in anger or bites it. My wife is looking at me saying, 'Okay, where does it come from?' And that’s pretty funny because you start asking yourself if it’s just pure genetics and I don’t have an answer to this question," Medvedev said.

Medvedev also emphasized the importance of patience when dealing with the two-year-old, highlighting the need to communicate effectively without raising his voice.

"When you’re talking to adults, or you’re talking to yourself, you can be like, 'I said this one time already. Why don’t you understand?' With kids, it doesn’t work like this, so that helps you a lot in life to then relate. You have to repeat to them without raising your voice, trying to explain," he added.

On the tennis front, Daniil Medvedev will be in action at the 2024 World Tennis League exhibition event in Abu Dhabi, scheduled to commence on December 19. The Russian will represent Team Hawks, alongside Elena Rybakina, Andrey Rublev, and Caroline Garcia.
