Frances Tiafoe has been enjoying his off-season with his girlfriend Ayan Broomfield in Cabo after wrapping up his 2024 ATP season. The couple recently went up against each other in a viral dance challenge as they shared glimpses from their romantic gateway.
The couple met during the early years of their professional careers in 2015. While Tiafoe was on the brink of entering the top 100 players in the ATP rankings, Broomfield was ranked 467th in the world in women's doubles.
While they have spent a large part of their dating life apart from each other, they have been spotted together frequently since the Canadian's graduation from the University of California Los Angeles in 2020. After Tiafoe wrapped up his season at the 2024 Paris Masters, the couple took off to Cabo, Mexico for a romantic gateway.
The former World No.10 shared glimpses from his Cabo vacation with Broomfield on his Instagram handle and the couple could be seen engaging in the viral dance challenge, 'Do you wanna love me like that?', which is from a song by American singer Laila Smith.
The American tennis ace shared the post on his Instagram story, asking his fans who had performed better in the challenge.
Tiafoe concluded his 2024 season at the Paris Masters, where he was eliminated in the first round by Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard.
"Not to say that he takes my advice, but it's nice to chat about it and strategy" - Ayan Broomfield on discussing tennis with Frances Tiafoe
While Frances Tiafoe is one of the biggest names in American professional tennis, his girlfriend Ayan Broomfield has also seen her share of success on tennis courts. While she is currently not ranked on the WTA Four, the Canadian does hit the courts occasionally and also helps Tiafoe in his tennis career.
In an interview with the ATP, Broomfield spoke about chatting tennis with her American boyfriend, adding that she would discuss match strategies with him.
"We can talk about tennis. I mean, I played tennis myself. So even just when we're seeing the draw, and we kind of look at certain players, sometimes I can act as a sounding board for matches. Not to say that he takes my advice, but it's nice to be able to chat about it and strategy. I just feel like we just understand it and what it takes for someone to go and be able to compete at the highest level,” she said.
Broomfield has been regularly spotted cheering for Tiafoe at his tennis matches and after his 2024 season ended with a defeat at the Paris Masters, the couple went on a vacation to Cabo.
