John McEnroe's former wife Tatum O'Neal and daughter Emily Enroe engaged in a goofy conversation regarding the latter's led face mask. The mother-daughter duo turned heads with their close bond shortly after endorsing Democratic nominee Kamala Harris after her first presidential debate with Donald Trump.
Former tennis player John McEnroe married Tatum O'Neal, the daughter of actor Paul O'Neal, in 1986 and divorced in 1994. Initially, they were awarded joint custody of their three children, Kevin, Sean, and Emily. However, the former World No. 1 took sole custody in 1998 in the wake of O'Neal's addiction to substances.
Cut to 2024, the Academy Award winner and her daughter, Emily McEnroe (33) share a beautiful relationship, often spotted goofing around in each other's company. In a recent Instagram post by the former, she shared a laugh with her daughter, who featured in the reel with an LED face mask.
O'Neal said:
"Hi, this is Tatum, as you know, I like to look perfect."
Initially, having kept Emily's arrival concealed, she slowly unveiled the LED-face-masked actress, who introduced herself as the main lead of 'the resurgence of Hannibal Lecter'.
"I also like to look perfect. Um, Emily is not going to be on here. We're doing a resurgence of Hannibal Lecter and it's going to be a woman, actually," the 33-year-old said while O'Neal laughed from the side.
John McEnroe's ex-wife Tatum O'Neal and daughter Emily McEnroe endorsed Kamala Harris
On September 10, 2024, US Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris faced Donald Trump in their first presidential debate with just eight weeks left for the election.
After the high-stakes back and forth between the candidates as they touched upon sensitive topics like crime, immigration, and reproductive rights, John McEnroe's ex-wife Tatum O'Neal enjoyed a ride with her daughter, rooting for Harris as the potential President.
While Emily McEnroe lip-synced to 'Pink Pony Club' by Chappell Roan while driving, her mother said:
"Vote Kamala," (O'Neal's X post)
The post caption read:
"Kamala obviously, are you kidding?"
Tatum O'Neal gained fame for her role as Addie Loggins in Paper Moon, where she shared the screen with her father, Paul O'Neal. She received the Academy Award for her performance and became the youngest person ever to achieve so at 10. She also starred in Nickelodeon, Little Darlings, and The Bad News Bears, among others.
Emily McEnroe walked in her mother's footsteps, having debuted in the feature film Futra Days.
