Novak Djokovic is set for his first-ever Olympics final after defeating Lorenzo Musetti in the semi-finals of the men's singles. The Serb has had an impressive run at the games, beating the likes of Rafael Nadal, Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Musetti. He is now gearing up to face Carlos Alcaraz in the gold medal match.

Djokovic faced Alcaraz in the Wimbledon finals last month and suffered a disappointing defeat as the 21-year-old stormed past him in straight sets with scores of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6.

During his 2024 Wimbledon run, Djokovic faced Holger Rune in the fourth round and was booed by the crowd after winning his second set. The Serb then responded by mocking the audience in the post-match interview and bid a 'good night' to the fans on center court.

“To all the fans that have had respect and stayed here tonight, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I appreciate it. And to all those people that have chosen to disrespect the player – in this case me – have a goooood night. Goooood night, goooood night. A very good night,” Djokovic said.

A video emerged on the internet recently where Djokovic could be seen cooling off with the fans as they teased him over the 'good night' controversy

The 24-time Grand Slam winner will be eager to clinch the Olympic gold medal after underwhelming campaigns at the Summer Games in the past.
