Jack Draper recently found it difficult to pick the greatest tennis player of all time as he oscillated between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Draper eventually went with the Serb.
Djokovic and Nadal produced memorable matches on the court, dominating the ATP tour for more than two decades. Together with Roger Federer, they formed the renowned trio—Big Three. However, the debate about who among the three is the best tennis player in history has always persisted.
With 24 Grand Slam titles to Nadal's 22 and a positive head-to-head record of 31-29 against the Spaniard, the Serb has apparently won Draper's praise even though the Brit adores the 22-time Major champion.
In a recent interview with Sky Sports Tennis, the World No. 15 was tasked to choose the greatest player of all time or GOAT from Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, and Serena Williams.
He distinguished Williams from the Big Three, to begin with, and hesitantly selected the 24-time Grand Slam champion's card for the GOAT title, saying:
"My heart is Rafa Nadal but who do I think is the best tennis player of all time, I mean, let’s just separate Serena out because she’s the female GOAT.
"And then out of these three… when I was growing up, every kit, every new look was him, he was just so iconic. Obviously, being a left-hander like myself. My head says Novak. My heart is Rafa but for me, the GOAT is obviously Novak Djokovic."

Jack Draper hasn't ever won against Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal
Jack Draper turned pro in the year 2018 but hasn't defeated Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal yet.
He battled the Spaniard in the first round of the 2023 Australian Open, where the latter registered a 7-5, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory in three hours and 41 minutes. Though the Brit was able to break the veteran's serve four times, he couldn't cross the finish line.
Draper faced the Serb in the first round of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships and ended up on the wrong side of the result despite claiming the first set. The 24-time Grand Slam champion won the match 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2 in two hours, smashing a staggering 25 aces.
While the Brit doesn't have a chance to beat Nadal since the latter hung up his racket in November this year, he can certainly change his head-to-head tally against the Serb in the near future.
