Novak Djokovic was joined by his wife Jelena and his parents in Serbia to celebrate his 22nd Grand Slam win at the 2023 Australian Open.

The athlete, who usually spends his time between Monte Carlo and Spain between tournaments, recently returned to his home country to mark his latest Grand Slam win with local fans.

The Serb was spotted singing in front of his eponymous restaurant in Belgrade, with his wife Jelena, father Srjdan and mother Dijana by his side.

The 35-year-old also distributed balloons, in colors representing their country’s flag, to his young fans.

He then spent some time in the Novak restaurant where he enjoyed a karaoke session with former Serbian footballers Savo Milosevic and Dusan Savic.

The World No. 1’s celebrations continued at a well-known club in the Serbian capital, where he delighted fans with his presence.

Novak Djokovic has been enjoying his time in Serbia during his off days and was also seen on a date night with his wife Jelena at Serbian singer Zeljko Samardzic's concert in Novi Sad on Valentine's Day.

Novak Djokovic’s 2022 season was a turbulent one, filled with controversy surrounding his vaccination status and disappointment regarding his participation at numerous events. The Serb was banned from contesting the Australian Open as well as the US Open and the rest of the tournaments in North America.

Despite all the adversity, Novak Djokovic managed to win five titles, including a fourth back-to-back title win at Wimbledon and his sixth ATP Finals title. With the run, the 35-year-old was tied with then World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz in terms of trophies lifted in the 2022 season. The tennis legend has successfully banked on his momentum since the second half of 2022 and has continued with his winning form in 2023.

Djokovic was met with a different fate in Australia this time around after the country’s government reinstated his visa and welcomed him back nearly a year after deportation. The Serb made the most of his return and kicked off his season by lifting his 92nd career title in Adelaide. The 35-year-old then successfully contested the Australian Open, where he won his 22nd Grand Slam title and tenth title in the tournament, as well as the World No. 1 spot.

The athlete is now on a 12-match winning streak in 2023 and a 17-match winning streak overall, which he has maintained since his title win in the ATP Finals 2022.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion is next scheduled to compete at the Dubai Tennis Championship, where he is a five-time champion.
