Novak Djokovic shared some behind-the-scenes footage from his meetup with popular actor Wang Yibo. The Serb and the Chinese actor had a tennis adventure playing on the Great Wall of China. The 37-year-old arrived in China a few days back ahead of the 2024 Shanghai Masters, for what will be his first appearance at the Masters 1000 event in five years.
Also, before the tournament's kick-off, Djokovic participated in the event 'The Shadow of a Champion on the Great Wall' which was conducted by Lacoste, the Serb's kit sponsor. He met up with popular Chinese actor Wang Yibo, who is also a Lacoste ambassador, as the two men played tennis on the Great Wall of China for the event held on 29th September.
The 24-time Major champion has now shared some behind-the-scenes footage of his meetup with the popular actor. He greeted Yibo with a 'Ni hao' which is hello in Chinese. The Serb then showed his Olympic Gold to the Chinese actor and allowed him to touch it, leaving the actor surprised. The duo then clicked some photos together and exchanged gifts.
The 37-year-old then suited up as he prepared himself for the extravagant event.

After the event, Wang Yibo took to Instagram to express his delight at the occasion. He said that he was honored to have got the chance to play with Novak Djokovic on the iconic Great Wall of China. Yibo thanked Lacoste and the Serb and said that he would prepare hard for his next match against the 24-time Major champion.
"I'm truly honored and delighted to have played tennis with an Olympic Champion at the iconic Great Wall! Big thanks to @lacoste, and thank you Nole @djokernole! I'm already looking forward to our next match, will keep training hard and play big" Wang Yibo said.
Djokovic commented on the Chinese star's post and said that it was a pleasure to have competed with him on the Great Wall of China. He also expressed that he would love to have Yibo at one of his matches.
"Pleasure to play with you on Great Wall of China. Looking forward to hosting you on one of my matches soon," he commented.
Novak Djokovic is seeded fourth at the 2024 Shanghai Masters. Due to his seeding, he will receive a bye in the opening round and will play either Alex Michelsen or Yunchaokete Bu in the second round.
