Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa recently shared a goofy video of them after their practice session at the 2024 US Open. The tennis couple first made their relationship public in June 2023 before calling it quits in May 2024. However, they reconciled a few weeks later.
Badosa and Tsitsipas have been painting the town red with endearing pictures and videos since getting back together after a brief split. Recently, the Greek shared a goofy video of the tennis couple after a practice session. He joked:
"Surviving another practice session without a racket to the face."
This comes days after a video of the two-time Grand Slam finalist losing his cool and smashing his racquet during the mixed doubles match was circulated across social media. Many fans expressed their disappointment and shock at Tsitsipas' outburst.
However, the Spaniard was quick to express support for Tsitsipas following the backlash. She asked people to 'chill' and stop 'judging every single step'. The tweet has since been deleted.
"Of course. We ALL have reactions like that on a court unfortunately. Frustration and stress is very normal in sports. Can you people chill? Are you going to judge every single step? You are very tiring!," Badosa wrote in a tweet (which has now been deleted).
Paula Badosa on her relationship with Stefanos Tsitsipas - "We both suffer a lot... we love each other so much"
Paula Badosa recently opened up about how hard it was for them to support each other from the sidelines. She reasoned that this was because they were tennis players and were accustomed to being on the court. During a press conference at the 2024 US Open, she stated that they loved each other and wanted the best for each other.
"I think we both suffer a lot. We're very emotional, and as we say, we love each other so much, and we want the best for us," Badosa said.
"Of course, we suffer; there are some moments I cannot even watch. It's tough to follow it because, also, we're used to being on the court, so we control a little bit of the situation, but from the outside, we can't do anything," she added.
At the US Open, Paula Badosa will play her quarterfinal match against Emma Navarro, while Tsitsipas' campaign ended with his first-round upset by Thanasi Kokkinakis. The duo also shared the court for the mixed doubles against Giuliana Olmos and Santiago Gonzalez but lost in the first round.
