Rafael Nadal jokes about not buying a dog for Rafa Jr.: "I can’t deal with all that"
Rafael Nadal engaged in a fun Q&A with Mexican tennis player Santiago Gonzalez's kids. The Spaniard was asked if he had any pets, to which he replied in negative.
"Do you have pets?" (translated from Spanish)
"No, I have no pets," he replied.
Camilla then asked him if he planned to buy one for his son Rafa Jr, considering he liked dogs.
"We have already seen that Rafita likes dogs very much… you don’t plan to buy one?" Camila asked.
The former World No. 1 said that even though Rafa Jr. liked all the animals, he would not buy a pet for him. He stated that taking care of his son was difficult, without adding an additional responsibility of a pet.
"Uf! Not at the moment. The truth is that he [Rafa Jr.] loves all animals. But not at the moment. It’s tough enough to keep him, if on the top of that, we have to keep a puppy now, I can’t deal with all that," he replied.
Rafael Nadal and his wife Maria Francisca Perello welcomed their son Rafa Jr. in 2022.
