Rafael Nadal's sister Maribel adorably kissed the Spaniard on his cheek after he was honored at the RNA Awards in his hometown, Mallorca. He received a special trophy on the occasion, recognizing his immensely successful career.

During his final season on tour, the 38-year-old was joined by his family including his younger sister Maribel, who has been a huge support system to the 22-time Grand Slam champion throughout his career. She is also the Deputy General Manager at the Spaniard's eponymous academy, which recently conducted the Rafa Nadal Academy Awards in Mallorca.

During the ceremony, Maribel presented her brother with a special "92" trophy. Rafael Nadal won 92 titles during his career. Following this, Maribel adorably gave the Spaniard a peck on the cheek before leaving him in the spotlight for a speech.

The year-end dinner held at the academy premises was followed by a gala time with people dancing and chatting with each other.

The former World No. 1 hung up his racket at the 2024 Davis Cup Finals after Spain's defeat to the Netherlands. What followed was an emotional night where the Spaniard was presented with a video montage chronicling his career and special messages from his biggest contemporaries. He also delivered a speech, where he thanked his family, which left the entire tennis fraternity teary-eyed.

During his farewell speech, Rafael Nadal mentioned how his family, team, and friends were crucial to his immense success. He also talked about how it was because of them that he was able to remain calm despite his tremendous success.

"I'm privileged. I've been able to make my profession my pastime. I'm a lucky one. My family, my team, my friends. I'm a person who believes in continuity, I believe in keeping people who want and making your life better. I've kept my family close. Without you this would not have been possible.
"They've always been there with me, they always kept me with my feet on the ground. What's going to happen in the future will be easier to carry. I am calm because I have received an education that allows me to face the future calmly."

Maribel had also reminisced about Nadal's younger days on her Instagram after the Spanaird's retirement.
