Rafael Nadal shared a heartwarming embrace with Carlos Alcaraz after losing to the 21-year-old in the semifinals of the Six Kings Slam. The final of the exciting exhibition event is scheduled to take place on October 19, 2024.

The Six Kings Slam is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and features players like Nadal, Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune. Both the 22-time Grand Slam champion and Djokovic had received a bye to the semifinals.

The tournament kicked off with Alcaraz defeating Rune 6-4, 6-2, and Sinner overcoming Medvedev 6-0, 6-3 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, the World No. 1 emerged victorious over the Serb in a match that ended 6-2, 6-7(0), 6-4 to advance to the final. Meanwhile, Alcaraz triumphed over Nadal with a score of 6-3. 6-3 to secure his place in the title clash.

After the conclusion of the semifinal matches, Carlos Alcaraz will take on Jannik Sinner in the final of the Six Kings Slam, while Rafael Nadal will face Novak Djokovic in the third-place match.

Alcaraz and Sinner both joined the exhibition tournament following their participation in the 2024 China Open and the Shanghai Masters. The Spaniard won the title in Beijing, while the World No. 1 claimed the title at the Masters 1000 hard court tournament.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have faced each other 10 times on the ATP tour, with the former emerging victorious in six of those encounters, while the World No. 1 has won four.

They went up against each other three times on the tour this year—first in the semifinals of the Indian Wells Masters, where Alcaraz triumphed over Sinner 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 before going on to win the title by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the final.

The four-time Grand Slam champion then faced the World No. 1 in the semifinals of the French Open and emerged victorious 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 and they most recently met in the final of the China Open, where Alcaraz secured the title by winning with a score of 6-7(6), 6-4, 7-6(3).

Meanwhile, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic have faced each other a staggering 60 times on the ATP tour, with the Serb holding the edge in their head-to-head record, winning 31 of their 60 matches.

They clashed only once this season, in the second round of the 2024 Paris Olympics, where the 24-time Grand Slam champion emerged victorious with a score of 6-1, 6-4 before winning the gold medal for Serbia by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
