Roberto Bautista Agut celebrated his second-round win at the Mallorca Championships with his son Roberto. The father-son duo shared an adorable moment together after the match.

Bautista Agut, once a former World No. 9, has been struggling with his form over the past few years. He is currently competing on the grass swing preparing for Wimbledon. The Spaniard kicked off his campaign on the surface at the Libema Open where he was eliminated in the second round by Milos Raonic from a set up.

The 36-year-old then entered the qualifiers at the Terra Wortmann Open but failed to make it to the main draw after losing to Max Purcell in straight sets.

The Spaniard is currently the home favorite at the Mallorca Championships where he was a runner-up in 2022, losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas in the summit clash. He kicked off his run with an emphatic 6-1, 6-0 win over Taro Daniel and claimed a resilient win to topple second seed Ugo Humbert 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the quarterfinals.

The former Word No. 9 also had a special fan in attendance - his son, Roberto who cheered his dad on. He also shared an adorable embrace with his father after the match to celebrate the win. Further, he hilariously interrupted Bautista Agut's post-match interview and said 'hola' ('hello' in Spanish) to the audience.

The Frenchman is seeded seventh at the tournament and ousted Dominic Thiem and Roberto Carballes Baena in the first two rounds. He won both his matches in straight sets.

The two men have faced each other five times in their careers so far with Monfils leading their head-to-head 4-1. Their first meeting was in 2014 in the third round of the Cincinnati Masters which ended in a comfortable straight-sets win for the 37-year-old.

They met twice in 2015 in the opening round in Rotterdam and the semifinals in Marseille with both of these matches going Monfils' way in straight sets.

Roberto Bautista Agut defeated Gael Monfils for the first time in the fourth round of the National Bank Open in 2017 coming back from a set down. However, the Frenchman got his revenge in 2019 in the quarterfinals of the same tournament in a topsy-turvy three-setter.
