Serena Williams tried the famous Honey Deuce cocktail at the 2024 US Open and raved about its taste. The American, who bid farewell to tennis at the same venue two years ago, came back to Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre to take in the tennis action at the New York Slam.
Williams made a welcome appearance at Flushing Meadows and was pictured attending Jannik Sinner's match against Christopher O'Connell. She also had chats with Iga Swiatek, Frances Taifoe, and Taylor Fritz.
The next day, she visited the tournament again to watch her good friend Grigor Dimitrov defeat Andrey Rublev, to reach the quarterfinal. She seemingly had a good time at the match as she was captured celebrating when the Bulgarian won.
Williams also tried the iconic cocktail 'Honey Deuce'. Even though she liked the drink, she suggested that fans add tequila for an even better taste.
"So I am at the US Open and I am having the famous Honey Deuce drink and everyone's like have you ever had one? I was like no because I have always been playing. I like my honey deuce with cincoro and you guys know that I like more of a tequila. Honey that's not deuce. That is called honey add-in or honey ace. Let's rename it. It is good. Oh boy. Try with the tequila," Williams said.
