Renowned American hedge fund manager Bill Ackman recently shared his sadness over the ongoing feud between Novak Djokovic and the Australian Open crowd. The billionaire questioned why even a legend like the Serb must constantly provide proof of his physical issues, expressing his disappointment at the situation.

Djokovic shared a picture of the MRI scan of his hamstring, which was injured during his semifinal match against Alexander Zverev. The ATP star had to do this amid intense criticism from fans on the court and social media platforms. Although several members of the tennis community stepped forward to back the Serb, he did this to ensure the "medical experts" understood the physical toll he was facing.

Ackman, who is worth $9.3 billion (as per Forbes), dropped a comment on Novak Djokovic's post concerning his health update. The Billionaire expressed concerns over the intense criticism the Serb had to face after announcing his abrupt withdrawal mid-match.

Novak Djokovic had to halt his quest for the 11th Australian Open and 25th Grand Slam title because of a staggering health concern. The ATP star plans to hold the ground as a pro despite a majority of the athletes of his age cherishing farewells.

Despite that, the criticism from fans caught the eye of true supporters as they stepped forward in high numbers with their bold remarks.

Novak Djokovic's former on-court rival and current coach Andy Murray stepped forward to unveil his thoughts post abrupt AO withdrawal. The Briton applauded the Serb's team, making it clear that they had managed him very well even before he joined as a mentor.

"I feel like they’ve been a great team. At times it feels a little bit embarrassing because of my relationship with Novak, how much people talk about that or when there’s a good result or a good performance that it’s because I’ve helped him," he said, as reported by The Guardian.

The 3-time Grand Slam champion also talked about the nature of Djokovic's exit from the Australian Open semifinal. Keeping health as a priority, the former pro said that it wasn't the way he expected things to be.

"It was an unfortunate way to finish. The match that he played against Alcaraz was some incredible tennis, amazing to watch from the side from that close, it was an amazing performance. He’d been getting gradually better as the tournament was progressing, I think. It’s obviously a really unfortunate way to finish," he added.

While the Serb has already shared his medical scan report, the tennis community collectively wishes for a speedy recovery.
