Andy Roddick recently criticized former President Donald Trump for referring to the United States of America as a "third world nation" during an election rally in Asheville, North Carolina. Trump is running for a second term as President.

Trump is currently running for re-election as the presidential nominee for the Republican party, with JD Vance as his Vice Presidential candidate. Meanwhile, Vice President Kamala Harris is running against him for a seat in the Oval Office for the Democratic party after President Joe Biden withdrew from the run and endorsed her.

Donald Trump and Harris have always had disagreements on various issues. During a recent election campaign rally in Asheville, North Carolina, Trump blamed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for inflation and the increased cost of living since Biden took office. He spoke about America's economy and claimed that the USA has regressed to the status of a "third world nation ."

A third-world nation refers to an economically disadvantaged country with inadequate infrastructure, economic instability, and high poverty rates.

Donald Trump then went on to say that America has become a "banana republic" in many aspects, a situation he vowed to prevent if re-elected as President.

“This is, we're talking about a thing called the economy. They wanted to do a speech on the economy. They say it's the most important subject . I think crime is right there. The border is right there, personally. We have a lot of important subjects, because our country has become a third world nation . We literally are a third world nation... we are a banana republic in so many ways and we are not gonna let that happen,” Trump said.

Reacting to Trump's comments, former US Open champion Andy Roddick took to social media to criticize the former President and assert that America wasn't a third-world nation.

"We are literally not a third world nation," Andy Roddick posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Last month, while speaking at an election campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, Donald Trump made disparaging remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris. He claimed that Harris was against Jewish people and the nation of Israel because she allegedly refused to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin 'Bibi' Netanyahu.

Trump also expressed that he was surprised as to how Jewish people would vote for Harris, who according to him was anti-Jewish.

“What she’s doing is she’s running away from Israel. She refuses to go to Bibi Netanyahu. Even if you’re against Israel or you’re against the Jewish people, show up and listen to the concept. But she’s totally against the Jewish people and it amazes me how Jewish people will vote for the Democrats when they’re being treated so disrespectfully and badly. It amazes me. It's shocking,” Trump said.

Reacting to Donald Trump's comments about Kamala Harris, Andy Roddick took to social media and pointed out that Harris couldn't possibly be anti-Jewish, as she is married to Doug Emhoff, a Jewish man.

"She’s married to a Jewish man ……." Andy Roddick wrote.

Roddick has been vocal in his criticism of Donald Trump and has frequently taken to social media to voice his opinions on the former President
