The final Grand Slam of the year, the US Open, will be underway from August 26 to September 8, 2024. It will host some of the top players in the world such as 2022 champion Carlos Alcaraz, four-time champion Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner, defending champion Coco Gauff and reigning Roland Garros titlist Iga Swiatek.

The 2024 US Open Bag policy states that backpacks except for single-compartment drawstring bags of dimensions 12” W x 12” H x 16” L will be allowed inside the Billie Jean National Tennis Center in Queens, New York City. There are several other items that the spectators won't be allowed to carry into the premises of the stadium.

According to the bag policy, only one bag per guest is allowed, which may not include items such as hard coolers or containers, computers or laptops, glass bottles, alcohol or any alcoholic beverages, and sealed packages of any kind, among others.

Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited according to the policy of the 2024 US Open. People will not be allowed to enter the event premises with video cameras, laser pointing, or recording devices, except for SLR cameras and cell phones with lenses up to and not beyond 300mm. Any animal, including the ones trained to aid a disabled person, are allowed inside the stadium.

Masks, fireworks of any kind, balloons, confetti, or any glittery items, pamphlets, flags or signs, offensive clothing or accessories, selfie sticks, or other telescopic devices will not be permitted.

No tennis racket, except for the ones purchased on the premises or giveaway promotion, will be allowed. Drones, scooters, hoverboards, bicycles, and skateboards are also banned at the 2024 US Open.

Coco Gauff became the youngest American at 19 to triumph at the 2023 US Open since the iconic Serena Williams achieved it in 1999. Gauff has amassed seven WTA singles titles so far in her career. She became the youngest honoree and the only athlete to have her name on TIME’s Women of the Year list in 2024.

According to a recent update by Wheaties, Gauff will embrace the latest limited-edition box cover of the cereal brand. She will walk in the steps of the iconic former World No. 1, Billie Jean King, who was the cover of Wheaties earlier this year.

The intergenerational tennis stars will share the stage during the US Open Fan Week, when King will hand over the Wheaties Champion torch to Gauff.

"It is an honor to be on the next Wheaties box, especially as the legendary Billie Jean King passes the historic ‘Wheaties Champion’ title onto me. I’ve had so many role models in this sport help guide my professional and personal journey, and I hope to keep empowering the next generation to also work hard and dream big," said Gauff. The qualifying round of the 2024 US Open will kick start on Monday, August 19, and continue till Thursday, August 22, followed by the main draw.
