Martina Navratilova slammed Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance for justifying Donald Trump's attack on Hillary Clinton. Vance claimed that Trump likes to have 'some fun' and tell 'some jokes'. The American tennis star, however, was furious with the justification and called him a 'douche'.

In an interview with CNN's John Berman, Vance was asked about Trump's posts on social media in the past few days. Berman asked if 'reposting misogynistic memes about Vice President Harris and Hillary Clinton' is helping people.

Vance responded by saying that Trump has different personalities when he is on stage for his political campaigns and when he is on social media. The Republican VP nominee described Trump as:

"A political candidate who isn't stodgy, who likes to have some fun, who likes to tell some jokes."

Berman was referring to a post by the 78-year-old on Truth Social which had lewd connotations about Harris and Clinton.

A video of the interview was posted on X by a journalist and was reposted by Navratilova who wrote:

"Sure- mocking women lifts everyone’s spirits, even the women who are being mocked. I mean that’s just so funny and uplifting… what a douche. He is beyond help and as despicable as they get."

Trump has been active on the social media platform Truth Social. He recently uploaded a poster of DC Comics' Justice League on Truth Social and edited the faces of himself and his supporters on various characters.

Trump, in this case, was Superman, with Vance as Batman. It also included X-owner Elon Musk as the part-human/part-robot Cyborg, and Vivek Ramaswamy as the Flash.

Recently, a report in 'The Sun' stated that students at Leeds University are being urged to refrain from using mum and dad so as “to avoid assumptions about biological parents”. The advisory was reportedly included in their online inclusive language guide.

Martina Navratilova came across a post on X that linked the report with the caption:

"Fury as university urges students to stop using the terms mum and dad"

The American reposted it and wrote:

"This is utter b******* as well as insane. I mean WTAF??????"

Another X user commented under Navratilova's post claiming that even if Kamala Harris defeats Donald Trump and becomes President, the situation will stay the same. They wrote:

"Won't get better under Kamala."

Navratilova responded:

"I believe it will."

The 60th quadrennial presidential election is set to be held on November 5, 2024, between the Democratic party's Kamala Harris, whose running mate is Tim Walz, and the Republican party's Donald Trump, whose running mate is JD Vance.
