Novak Djokovic was in attendance for Serbia's match against Denmark on Tuesday, June 25 at the ongoing Euro 2024 soccer tournament in Germany. The match, played in Munich's Allianz Arena, was a goalless draw as both teams failed to break the deadlock.

At one point, Djokovic made his way down to the touchline to interact with the Serbian team. The Serb's presence in Germany amid his Wimbledon preparations has drawn a variety of reactions from tennis fans.

There is still some uncertainty surrounding Djokovic's participation at this year's Wimbledon Championships. The former World No. 1 sustained a meniscus tear in his right knee during his near-miraculous five-set third-round win over Francisco Cerundolo at the 2024 French Open. The injury required him to undergo surgery, following which he was on crutches.

However, Djokovic is back in training, and even arrived in London earlier this week to start his preparations for the prestigious grasscourt tournament. Fans on Reddit, therefore, were taken aback by the 24-time Grand Slam winner's trip to Germany for the Serbia vs Denmark clash at the Euros.

One set of fans tried to make sense of Djokovic going to Germany amid his ongoing Wimbledon preparations.

"What the hell are you doing in there?" one asked.
"Wasn’t he just practicing in London earlier?" another echoed.
"He's doing some side quests before Wimbledon," this fan quipped.

Another set of fans talked about Djokovic's possible use of a private jet to go to Germany and come back in time to resume his Wimbledon training.

"Your life really picks up after the first private jet," a user wrote.
"And the rest of us drink with paper straws to save the Earth," another commented.
"People need to chill a bit. There’s people commuting into London daily via public transport with a longer journey than Noles cozy private jet to Munich," a third fan weighed in.

Yet another set of fans bemoaned the poor quality of the match that unfolded.

"Poor Nole, went to such a disappointing and boring match tonight...," one said.
"In my country's TV nearly every single action in this match was followed by commenters reminding that legendary tennis player Novak Djokovic is on the stand, followed by his reaction, which every time was just Novak talking with his friend... I guess it tells a lot what a boring match it was," this fan noted.

"The plan was to try to play Wimbledon, so that's what I'm doing" - Novak Djokovic

In a recent interaction with the media at SW19, Djokovic was asked if he was surprised by his rapid recovery following his knee surgery. The Serb responded by saying that his swift return to practice did not surprise him.

Djokovic also said that his decision to either play at or pull out of this year's Wimbledon Championships depends on whether he feels he can challenge for the title in the coming days.

"I'm only going to play if I'm in a position to go far and fight for the title. I'm not pushing myself to the limit, but I hope that happens in the next few days. I wouldn't be here without the permission of the doctors," Djokovic said.

If the Serb decides to play, he will undoubtedly go all guns blazing for his eighth Wimbledon title to match rival great Roger Federer's record at the grasscourt Major.
