Serena Williams' one-year-old daughter Adira joined her on the tennis court where she adorably picked up a ball and ran around. Although retired for over two years, the 23-time Grand Slam champion continues to stay in great shape and give her daughters a taste of the tennis courts.
Williams took to her social media to share a short clip of Adira joining her on the tennis court. According to the caption, the former American tennis star seems to have started training her daughter to follow in her footsteps.
She wrote:
"When’s too early?"
The one-year-old is seen picking up a ball and her mother asks her to put it in the basket full of the rest of the tennis balls. However, Adira adorably ignores the instruction and runs away with the ball.
Williams was heard saying that while the camera was off, Adira picked up and tossed balls into the basket. But as soon as the camera started rolling, she ran off with them instead.
Serena Williams offers glimpse into her life raising daughters Olympia and Adira while managing her businesses
On October 29, Serena Williams shared a glimpse into her life after retirement on X. Her days are filled with fun moments with her younger daughter, Adira, as well as coaching her seven-year-old daughter, Olympia, in tennis. The former tennis star also enjoys cooking, all while managing her various business ventures.
"My life is very different now. Instead of chasing balls, I’m chasing #Adira and helping #Olympia with tennis lessons and cooking. (And, all this is in-between Venture Capital calls)," Serena Williams capitoned her post.
In 2017, Williams won her 23rd and final singles Grand Slam title at the Australian Open. Astonishingly, she pulled off the triumph while being pregnant with Olympia. The American returned to tennis after maternity leave and reached four Major finals but could not win any. She hung up her racket in 2022.
In 2023, Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian welcomed their second daughter Adira. The couple frequently share their family moments on social media.
On the business front, Williams founded a makeup brand called WYN Beauty in partnership with The Good Glamm Group. WYN Beauty markets itself as "makeup you can move in" creating "products for life, not just a photo finish." Williams also owns a venture capital business called Serena Ventures. She believes in investing in diverse companies.
