Born on 24 February 1994 in Buffalo, New York, Jessica Pegula has been impressing the home crowd at Flushing Meadows. She is set to face Karolína Muchová in the semifinals at the Arthur Ashe Stadium on 6th September. Pegula defeated Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, Diana Shnaider, and most recently, World No.1 Iga Swiatek en route to her maiden Grand Slam semifinal.
While she is one of America's most-followed tennis stars, Pegula also has a background in the business world as her parents, Terry and Kim Pegula, are the owners of the Buffalo Bills in the NFL and the Buffalo Sabres in the NHL.
Another of her biggest supporters is her husband, Taylor Gahagen, who often supports his wife during her matches and is also the Vice President of Ready24, the skincare company founded and owned by Jessica Pegula. The couple reportedly dated for six years before getting married in October 2021.
Who is Jessica Pegula's Husband?
Jessica Pegula is married to Taylor Gahagen, who has a business background and is a partner in Pegula's investments. Gahagen was born in Williamsville, New York, and attended the Williamsville North High School. He then went to S.U.N.Y. Fredonia, where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 2011 and earned his M.B.A. from Canisius College in Buffalo.
By 2013, Gahagen started working at Pegula Sports and Entertainment, where he worked for nine years and also held the position of Executive before leaving the company last year.
Speaking about her marriage plans on the Tennis.com podcast in 2021, Pegula said,
"We were supposed to get married in October last year. We postponed it a year … It's fine, it worked out!”"
Gahagen and Pegula's business ventures together
Jessica Pegula inherited her business talents from her parents and started her line of skin care products through her company, Ready 24, where Gahagen works as the Vice President, having co-founded the company with her. They have released multiple products like mists, moisturizers, and cleansers.
The couple also founded a nonprofit "A Leading Paw", which aims to help train rescue dogs, helping them become service animals for those in need.
