Aryna Sabalenka and her boyfriend Georgios have sparked speculation about their potential engagement with their latest pictures in Brisbane. The couple has, however, not made any announcement in that regard.
Sabalenka has touched down in Australia ahead of her anticipated 2025 season. The Belarusian is set to open her campaign as the World No. 1 for the first time in her career at the Brisbane International.
Ahead of her first match against Mexico’s Renata Zarazua on December 31, Aryna Sabalenka spent some quality time with her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, roaming around the city.
The couple also glammed up for a date night, with the three-time Grand Slam champion opting for an olive midi dress with the luxurious pairing of a Loro Piana wicker bag and an Audemars Piguet watch. What captured the attention of tennis fans, though, were the two sparkling rings she wore on her left ring finger.
Although Aryna Sabalenka has shown her fondness for accessories with her tiger-themed and evil-eye necklaces, the player seldom sports rings. Many fans were thus quick to quiz the couple about their possible engagement in the comments on Instagram.
"OMG, engagement ring and wedding band???!!!!" one fan wondered.
"Are you engaged?!!?" another fan quizzed.
"Ummmm that’s a left hand ring!!!" one fan chimed in.
However, Aryna Sabalenka and her entrepreneur boyfriend Georgios have not made any comment regarding her special accessories.
"Really happy to have him by my side" – What Aryna Sabalenka said about her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis
Aryna Sabalenka was publicly spotted with Georgios Frangulis for the first time at the 2024 Madrid Open. Just weeks later, the couple made their relationship public.
In September, the World No. 1 opened up about how the Oakberry co-founder’s support had a positive impact on her season.
"There was a really tough period where I was really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff," she told People.
While the World No. 1 enjoyed her most successful season yet, she also coped with a shoulder injury and personal loss. Sabalenka noted that her boyfriend was her “biggest support” during these trying times.
"But I make sure I kind of forget about tennis and focus on the good things and enjoy my life. Even when things are going wrong in my career. So yeah, he was my biggest support, and yeah, really happy to have him by my side," she said.
Aryna Sabalenka’s boyfriend is expected to cheer her on from the stands at the Brisbane International before she travels to Melbourne as the two-time defending champion at the Australian Open.
