Carlos Alcaraz made some fans' day by interacting with them after a training session ahead of his Olympics debut at the 2024 Paris Olympics. The Spaniard's heartwarming gesture drew positive reactions from tennis fans.
Alcaraz, who has risen to tennis superstar status owing to his mercurial rise and staggering achievements in recent years, is known for his humility and friendliness. The Spaniard, who turned only 21 earlier this year, already has four Grand Slams to his name, with two of those coming in quick succession at the 2024 editions of the French Open and the Wimbledon Championships.
Right now, the World No. 3 is preparing for both the singles and doubles events in the tennis tournament at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Alcaraz is among the favorites to win the gold medal in singles. Many eyes will be on him for his doubles campaign as well, owing to him pairing up with the legendary Rafael Nadal for the 22-time Grand Slam winner's Olympics swansong.
Alcaraz was recently spotted going out of his way to interact with fans following a training session. The Spaniard could be seen wearing his heavy racquet bag on his back, standing atop a bench just so the fans could get photos of him.
Alcaraz's endearing act sparked overwhelmingly positive reactions from tennis fans on Reddit. One set of them opined that the Spaniard would go on to become one of the greats of tennis, not only due to his skills on the court, but also because of the way he treats his fans.
"I really feel like he gonna become most popular tennis of all time. Feel like all the big 3 fandoms like him and he just seems like an all around nice guy," wrote a fan.
"Alcaraz is the future and thank god for that," commented another fan.
"Imagine a celebrity going this far out of his way to take a picture with you, I’d feel guilty even asking," another fan chimed in.
Another set of fans gushed over the Spaniard's behavior.
"Why is this kid so goddamn likeable?!" asked a fan.
"Now I want a pic with the Kid Dynamite," another fan wrote.
"He’s so pookie," another fan weighed in.
"Dream moment for me" - Carlos Alcaraz on partnering Rafael Nadal at Paris Olympics 2024

Following his stellar performance against Novak Djokovic to clinch the 2024 Wimbledon Championships, Alcaraz sat down with the Tennis Channel for an interview. During the interview, the four-time Major winner was asked about his thoughts on making his Olympics debut this year, and also about partnering legendary compatriot Nadal.
Alcaraz made it clear that his 2024 Paris Olympics outing would be all about bringing the gold medal in singles back to Spain. The former World No. 1 also laid bare that pairing up with Nadal at the prestigious event to play doubles would mark "a dream moment".
"Obviously coming to the tournament, I am going to go for the title, I am going to go just thinking that I will able to win it, that's my goal to bring a medal to my country, hopefully the gold medal. And obviously the doubles with Rafa (Rafael Nadal) is going to be a really dream moment for me. Obviously we will try to bring the gold medal again," Carlos Alcaraz told Tennis Channel.
Nadal was the last Spanish player to win the gold medal in men's singles at the Olympics. It came in 2008, when the 22-time Major winner came out on top against Chile's Fernando Gonzalez in the final.
His second Olympic gold came in the men's doubles event, where he partnered Marc Lopez. The duo beat the Romanian pair of Florin Mergea and Horia Tecau in the gold medal match.
