The draw for the 2024 Wimbledon Championships was revealed on Friday, June 28, with everybody involved understanding their fate for the next fortnight. While some players were handed a relatively easy path into the business end, others were handed a bumpy road. The draw did, however, shuffle the odds for the crown, with significant changes seen on the men's side of things.

World No. 1 Jannik Sinner pipped defending champion Carlos Alcaraz to the top spot with his new odds listed at +120 as per BetMGM. He was previously second favorite for the crown with +275 odds. Alcaraz subsequently fell to second position with +130 odds in his favor. He previously held +150 odds. He will be eager to prove the naysayers wrong who've come down hard on him after his shock second-round defeat to Jack Draper at the cinch Championships.

Seven-time champion Novak Djokovic remains in third position with updated odds at +140, surpassing his previous odds at +350. The Serb is vying for a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title.

Halle finalist Hubert Hurkacz moved up to fourth place with updated odds of +700. His best finish at SW19 was a run to the semifinals in 2021. He beat Roger Federer that year in the quarterfinals.

Tsitsipas was at the receiving end of the biggest slump, dropping from fifth to tenth spot with +1800 odds. Rune dropped from seventh favorite to the eleventh favorite with +1800 odds. Ruud also dropped down to nineteenth position from sixth position with updated odds of +6600.

Home favorite Jack Draper oversaw the biggest jump with oddsmakers ranking him as high as fifth favorite for the crown with updated odds of +1000.

The twenty-eighth seed has had a splendid grasscourt swing up until now, picking up his first career title at the 2024 BOSS Open in Stuttgart. He defeated Sebastian Ofner, Marcos Giron, defending champion and fourth seed Frances Tiafoe, and Brandon Nakashima en route to the finals where he saw off Matteo Berrettini in three sets 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4.

Draper is set to open his campaign in SW19 against Elias Ymer of Sweden in the first round. A possible second-round encounter against Cameron Norrie or Facundo Diaz Acosta awaits him. Alexander Zverev could very well face him in the third round.

Should he pass that test, Draper could face Taylor Fritz in the fourth round. Andrey Rublev is a possible quarterfinal opponent, and Novak Djokovic a possible semifinal opponent. A summit clash against Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz could be in the making should he make it that far.
