Nick Kyrgios threw shade at Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek as he announced to his fans how he was proud of recovering from his wrist injury the 'right way'. The Aussie has been incessantly taking digs at the two current tennis heavyweights amid their doping sagas.

Kyrgios has been out of action for a long time due to his injury struggles. He suffered a knee injury in 2023 following which he underwent arthroscopic surgery. The Aussie then suffered a wrist which required him to undergo another surgery. He played one match in 2023 at the BOSS Open and competed at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown this year.

The 29-year-old has also vehemently opposed the 'No Significant Fault or Negligence' verdicts in the doping cases of Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek.

While Sinner tested positive for Clostebol during the Wells Masters earlier this year, Swiatek tested positive for Trimetazidine during an out-of-competition, both banned substances. However, after much investigation, the ITIA (International Tennis Integrity Agency) decided to let the Italian off without a suspension, while the Pole received only a one-month suspension.

Kyrgios, who announced that he would be returning to action at the Brisbane International next month, took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that he was 'blessed' to be back in training, while also taking digs at Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek.

"Feels good getting these consecutive days training in the bank man…. Wrist re construction and back out here… blessed………………Without failing any drug tests be proud kygs doing it the right way," the Aussie tweeted.

Iga Swiatek had claimed that she didn't understand how the trimetazidine substance had entered a body initially. However, Nick Kyrgios wrote on X that tennis professionals in the upper echelons shouldn't avoid repercussions by saying 'We didn't know'.

"The excuse that we can all use is that we didn’t know. Simply didn’t know. Professionals at the highest level of sport can now just say 'we didn’t know'."

When a tennis fan posted Andy Roddick's quotes defending Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek's cases on his podcast and called the American out for his thoughts on the players who opposed the verdict, Kyrgios said that Roddick took corruption's side.

"It’s just sad at this point. The guy is like a messenger to try and sweep everything under the rug. Haha he definitely took the side of corruption but I mean I’ve had a couple good days in a row."

Andy Murray's ex-coach Mark Petchey recently urged Nick Kyrgios to stop attacking Jannik Sinner since it was proven that the Italian wasn't at fault.
