Iga Swiatek vs Naomi Osaka brought Andy Murray and the tennis fraternity together as they praised the brilliant display put on by both women. In the match that lasted two hours and 57 minutes, Swiatek eventually ousted the Japanese to move on to the third round.

The second-round match between the two-time defending champion and top seed Swiatek and former World No. 1 Osaka had the tennis world excited and it lived up to its hype as both women put on a stellar display.

The first set was a very close encounter but the Pole managed to bring her A-game in the tiebreaker to clinch it. However, the Japanese increased her level manifold as she grabbed the first set by breaking Swiatek three times.

The deciding set had Osaka leading for the majority of the time saving a match point in the process. The Pole got the important break to level the score at 5-5 and then broke her again to finally win the match 7-6(1), 1-6, 7-5.
