Yuki Bhambri climbs up 5 spots in the latest ATP doubles rankings, reaches a career-high of 43

Yuki Bhambri’s stellar 2024 season got better as the Indian tennis player climbed five places in the latest ATP doubles rankings to reach a career-high of 43. His impressive rise is largely thanks to a solid showing at the US Open, where he partnered with Frenchman Albano Olivetti to reach the third round.

Although their run was cut short by the experienced duo of Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in straight sets, Bhambri’s consistent performances have propelled him further up the rankings.

This year has been particularly rewarding for Bhambri. He claimed two ATP 250 titles at the Swiss Open and Bavarian Championships, partnering with Olivetti. This came after his first ATP title win at the 2023 Mallorca Championships.

The pair also reached the final of the ATP Lyon Open in May. Bhambri’s breakthrough into the top 50 ATP doubles rankings in June only added to the momentum he’s been building.

Rohan Bopanna slips down two spots in recent ATP doubles rankings

While Yuki Bhambri has moved up in ATP doubles rankings the same is not the case for India's ace tennis star Rohan Bopanna. Bopanna, still India’s top-ranked doubles player at 44, slipped two spots to No. 6 after his recent US Open 2024 campaign.

Bopanna and Matthew Ebden made a run into the third round. But the second-seeded pair lost 1-6, 5-7 to the 16th-seed Argentine combo of Maximo Gonzalez and Andres Molteni.

Another Indian star, N. Sriram Balaji, now ranked 65, moved up one spot in the doubles rankings, continuing to prove his worth on the ATP circuit. Balaji and Argentina’s Guido Andreozzi made their way into the second round of the US Open before losing straight sets to Neal Skupski and Michael Venus.

At the same time Arjun Kadhe, another emerging talent, also made strides, jumping four places to No. 99 in the rankings.
