At the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Djokovic defeated Rafael Nadal, Dominik Koepfer, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Matthew Ebden, and Lorenzo Musetti to go to his first Olympic gold medal match. Then, in a two-hour, fifty-minute contest that featured no serve breaks, he won the Olympic gold medal by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in straight sets. It was revealed in November that Djokovic has selected his old rival Andy Murray to serve as his coach at the 2024 Australian Open.
