Born on May 22, 1987, Novak Djokovic is a professional tennis player from Serbia. He has been ranked World No. 1 for a record total of 428 weeks and finished as year-end World No. 1 eight times in his career. The Serb has won 99 ATP titles in his career, including 22 Grand Slams, 40 Masters, and seven ATP Finals titles. His 24 Grand Slam titles include 10 Australian Open, seven Wimbledon, four US Open, and three French Open honors.

After winning the 2022 Franch Open, Djokovic become the only player to achieve a triple career Grand Slam. He is also the only player to achieve a career Golden Masters. Djokovic won his first Grand Slam title in 2008 at the Australian Open, ending Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal's streak of winning 11 consecutive Majors between them.

Djokovic has been named Laureus World Sportsman of the Year five times. At the end of the 2024 season, he partnered with Andy Murray to coach him for the 2025 season. Djokovic reached the semifinal of the 2025 Australian Open by defeating Alcaraz in the quarterfinals by 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 6-4. This victory extended his record for Grand Slam semifinal appearances to 50, and he will now face Alexander Zverev in the next round.

Djokovic achieved a significant success in his career by winning the gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, defeating Carlos Alcaraz by 7–6(7–3), 7–6(7–2).

Bronze medal in singles - 2008 Beijing Olympics

Djokovic won the Bronze medal in singles at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He lost to Rafael Nadal in the semifinal but defeated James Blake in the bronze medal match. He also played doubles with Nenad Zimonjic, but they lost to the Czech pairing of Martin Damm and Pavel Vízner in the first round.

Djokovic lost to Murray in straight sets in the semifinal of the 2012 London Olympics. Later, he lost to Juan Martín del Potro in the bronze medal match.

In the 2016 Rio Olympics, Djokovic lost in the first round to Juan Martín del Potro. It was Djokovic's first opening-round defeat since 2009.

In the Tokyo Olympics, Djokovic lost to Alexander Zverev in the semifinals. He then lost to Pablo Carreño Busta in the bronze medal match.
